On October 10, 2025, the Preston Sub-branch, headed by Ms. Le Hanh as Sub-branch President, held its Seniors Week event. Due to her family commitments, Ms. Huynh Vui, Vice President of Internal Affairs, graciously stepped in to organize the event on Ms. Hanh’s behalf. Ms. Vui worked closely with the IERA-VIC General Association office staff to host a wonderful Seniors Week gathering for all the elders.

The highlight of the day was an Ao Dai (Traditional Vietnamese Dress) competition. Initially, the seniors were hesitant and reluctant to participate, but with much encouragement from attendees, they all took to the floor and joined in the fashion show. This segment brought a fun and exhilarating atmosphere, filling the room with non-stop laughter.

In the end, four elders were selected as the winners. It was a delightful surprise to see that the winning ladies were those wearing the most heavily beaded and intricately decorated Ao Dai!
Finally, Ms. Vui presented gifts to the winners of the Ao Dai competition and the lucky lottery draw prize winners.

The Association would like to sincerely thank the Executive Committee of the Preston Sub-branch and all the seniors who participated. We wish all the elders a joyful day and continued good health to keep participating in our community activities.
