As winter settles in and the temperatures drop, the Lifestyle Team at Mekong Cairnlea continues to bring warmth, energy, and excitement to our home through the much-anticipated Winter Sports Day celebration. This joyful tradition is all about keeping our residents active, healthy, and connected—even on the coldest days of the year.

To help everyone stay fit and beat the winter chill, the Lifestyle Team officially launched a month-long sports season, running through to the end of August. This program is filled with friendly competition, fun, laughter, and a focus on health and wellbeing. Activities include a variety of accessible and enjoyable games such as Badminton, Bouncing Ball, Soccer Matches, and Chair Chi, encouraging participation from residents of all abilities.

Today’s Opening Ceremony was a great success, with many special guests and residents attending to show their support. The atmosphere was electric as we proudly welcomed our international teams—Australia, India, Poland, Laos, China, Japan, and Vietnam—representing the rich cultural diversity of our Mekong community. The first event, Bouncing Ball, kicked off the sports season with enthusiasm and loud cheers. Residents eagerly embraced the competitive spirit and proudly represented their teams, creating moments of joy and unity. The games will continue throughout the month, bringing daily engagement, laughter, and a sense of purpose to our residents.

Residents have expressed their sincere gratitude to the management and all staff for organising these meaningful activities that help them stay active, eat well, and feel happy every single day.

Let the games continue—and may everyone stay fit, healthy, and joyful this winter at Mekong Cairnlea!
