On 7 July 2025, the Richmond group hosted a special event themed “Recycling Waste Materials.” Ms. Trinh, a staff member from the Association, gave an engaging presentation about recyclable items and how to reuse or properly sort waste.
Following the presentation, Ms. Trinh asked the audience some questions. The participants were very enthusiastic—many eagerly raised their hands to respond. Small prizes were awarded for each correct answer, making the session lively and enjoyable.
Next was the “Green Planting Activity.” Members brought used items such as plastic bottles, cups, and containers to repurpose as plant pots. Many also brought their own plants to share and plant together. Some members even generously offered their extra plants to friends who hadn’t brought any.
There were two prizes in this session: one for participants who brought recycled materials and plants, and another for the most beautifully planted creation.
On the same day, Ms. Be Tran —the group leader of Richmond—along with our volunteers Ms. Ngan and Ms. Oanh, kindly prepared and served everyone a warm and delicious bowl of chicken pho.
