There was plenty of music, laughter and happy moments at Mekong Keilor East on 4 September and Mekong Cairnlea on 9 September 2026, as residents, families and staff came together to celebrate Father’s Day.
Representing Mekong Management, David Rapoport (Clinical Care Manager) extended his wishes to everyone and shared his hope that residents and staff would enjoy the occasion together and make the most of these special moments.

At Keilor East, a resident’s daughter shared some heartfelt words about her love and appreciation for her dad. The afternoon was then filled with music and entertainment, with residents, family members and staff all taking their turn to perform and bring smiles to the audience.

The celebrations continued at Cairnlea, where a resident representative shared a few words to wish all the fathers and grandfathers a wonderful Father’s Day. Residents and staff also brought plenty of colour and energy to the day with their group dances. From white shirts, colourful ties and berets to the familiar áo bà ba of southern Vietnam, the costumes made the performances even more fun and memorable.

It was wonderful to see residents, families and staff laughing, singing, dancing and simply enjoying each other’s company. These are the moments that make celebrations at Mekong so special.
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers and father figures in our Mekong community. Wishing you good health, happiness and many more joyful moments with your loved ones!
