In celebration of National Volunteer Week 2026 (18–24 May) with the theme “Your Year to Volunteer”, IERA proudly hosted its first-ever Volunteer Appreciation Day on Saturday, 23 May 2026 — an outdoor BBQ gathering to honour and thank our dedicated volunteers for their valuable contributions and ongoing commitment to Mekong Aged Care, the SSG Program, and the six sub-branches.

To officially open the program, Secretary Mr Hung Tran delivered a heartfelt speech expressing sincere appreciation to all volunteers for their dedication and tireless support of IERA’s activities. He also warmly thanked everyone who contributed their time and effort in preparing, decorating, and cooking for the event.

Following the opening speech, participants joined a fun icebreaker self-introduction activity using humorous nicknames, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The celebration then continued with a series of engaging team-building games:

Game 1: “Tiếp Sức Đồng Đội” – Team Ball Toss Relay

This activity encouraged teamwork, coordination, and collaboration among participants.

Game 2: “Tam Sao Thất Bản” – Whisper Challenge

The challenge created many hilarious moments as messages became increasingly distorted along the way, filling the event with laughter and fun while highlighting the importance of clear communication and accurate information sharing within a team.

Game 3: “Hiểu Ý Đồng Đội” – Team Understanding Challenge

Team leaders used gestures and body language to describe Vietnamese idioms while other members attempted to guess the correct answers. The game strengthened mutual understanding, communication, and teamwork among participants.

After the games, everyone enjoyed a delicious and diverse BBQ lunch lovingly prepared by volunteers.

Following lunch, IERA presented each volunteer with a small gift as a token of appreciation. The celebration then continued with a lively karaoke session, bringing even more joy, laughter, and connection among attendees.

Thank you once again to all our wonderful volunteers for your kindness, generosity, and commitment to serving the community.
