This Mother’s Day, Mekong Aged Care filled its halls with music, warmth, and appreciation for the remarkable women who call our facilities home. On 8 May 2026 at Keilor East and 12 May 2026 at Cairnlea, residents were treated to a vibrant cultural performance program — a joyful celebration woven together with Vietnamese songs, folk melodies, and the recognition of a lifetime of love.

The Keilor East facility was honoured to welcome Ms Van Trinh (Treasurer of IERA-VIC), Ms Dung Tran (St Albans Sub-branch Leader), and Mr Vinh Dao (Advisory Board Member), representing IERA-VIC in extending heartfelt Mother’s Day wishes to all residents. Meanwhile, the Cairnlea celebration was attended by Ms Loan Huynh (President of IERA-VIC) together with Ms Van Trinh.

Following the performances, the Lifestyle Team personally distributed small gifts to every resident as a wish for good health and happiness.

Beyond the music and the gifts, what made these events truly meaningful was the spirit behind them. Mother’s Day at Mekong is more than a calendar event — it is a collective moment to reflect on and honour the silent sacrifices of mothers and grandmothers who devoted their entire lives to nurturing families and raising generations.

Through meaningful programs like these, Mekong Vietnamese Aged Care reaffirms its commitment to creating an environment where residents feel loved and respected.
