On 23 February 2026, the St Albans Branch, under the leadership of Branch President Hoàng Dung, hosted a warm Lunar New Year gathering for members. The event welcomed approximately 120 attendees, including Ms Trịnh Thị Vận, Treasurer of IERA, and distinguished guests: Mr Trung Lưu, Member of the Victorian Legislative Council; Brimbank City Councillors Lucy Nguyen, Joh Bauch and Kim Truong; and Ms Simone Gordon, Community Development Officer.
The celebration was proudly supported by Brimbank City Council. The Branch sincerely thanks all honoured guests, Brimbank City Council, and our valued members for their presence and support.
The program featured vibrant and entertaining performances by the AVAC dance group and the Moon Light dance group, bringing joy and laughter to senior members. A special highlight of the celebration was the appearance of the God of Wealth, who led the traditional New Year blessing procession and presented lucky red envelopes to each member. The Branch also held a meaningful longevity celebration ceremony honouring members aged 80 and 90 and above.
Following the formal program, guests and members gathered to enjoy a warm lunch prepared by the St Albans catering team. The event concluded with an exciting lucky draw featuring many valuable prizes.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Association extends its best wishes to all members for a peaceful year ahead, good health, happiness, and prosperity.
