On 19 February 2026, the Footscray Branch held a warm and joyful Lunar New Year (Tet) celebration for all its members. Branch President Nguyễn Thúy Hoa and the Executive Committee (EC) organized a festive day filled with happiness and meaningful moments.

The program was made even more lively with the participation of the Hương Xưa group. Not only did they perform entertaining musical and cultural performances for the members, but they also thoughtfully prepared decorations such as firecracker strings, bánh chưng, and bánh tét, filling the hall with the vibrant spirit of Spring.

The program began with a welcome speech and was followed by heartfelt Tet greetings from the Footscray Branch EC to all members. The Branch also celebrated the birthdays of members born in February, creating a memorable moment of connection and joy.

The activities became even more engaging with a hands-on lantern-making workshop. Members crafted beautiful lanterns themselves, hanging meaningful couplets underneath such as “Happy New Year,” “Wishing you all the best,” and “Prosperity and good health.”

After the activities, members enjoyed a delicious roast duck noodle lunch provided by Thuận Phát Restaurant (St Albans). On behalf of the Branch, we sincerely thank Thuận Phát Restaurant for generously contributing to the event and helping ensure a complete and enjoyable meal for everyone.

The program concluded with a lucky draw, where more than 30 prizes were awarded to members.
